How to Join Truth Social App on Android and iPhone?

After being banned and suspended from social media networks such as Twitter and Facebook last year, former US President Donald Trump has started his own platform, Truth Social. On Android or iPhone, learn how to connect to Trump’s Truth Social app.

The upcoming social media platform was supposed to arrive in February, but recent developments suggest that the launch is just getting delayed. Truth Social will majorly focus on encouraging “free and open interaction” by acting as a rival site/app to other social media platforms.

What is Truth Social media App?

Truth Social is an upcoming social media platform of Donald Trump and is owned by Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG). It is already available on the Apple App Store through T Media Tech LLC, which is also a subsidiary of TMTG. The makers have not yet revealed the Android version of the app.

The first beta of the Truth Social app was released in November 2021 to a very limited list of invited users. As per the description given on its website, it will be an app that will facilitate open, free and honest conversations across the world without differences in political viewpoints.

Truth Social is thought to be America’s “Big Tent” for promoting truth and free expression, which is also the country’s constitution’s principal objective.

Donald Trump also said in a statement during the launch, “I created TruthSocial and TMTG to stand up to the atrocities of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a sizable Twitter presence, but your favourite US president has been silenced.”

Features of Truth Social App

“Truth will compete with the Social Liberal Media Consortium and battle against the Big Tech firms,” according to the former president. The first few glimpses of the platform are also suggesting the same.

The platform’s layout looks very similar to Twitter, and a very similar set of features are available.

The Daily Mail reports that Trump already has an account on the platform. His son, Donald Jr. shared a screenshot on Twitter, revealing the former president’s first post on the upcoming social media platform. You can watch it below:

From the above screenshot, it is imminent that Truth Social will have basic features like Profile, Feed/Timeline, Search, Notifications, Comments, Like/Love, and Export/Share.

How to Join Truth Social App on Android/iPhone?

You can still connect to the Truth Social app even if the app isn’t available right now. There is a waiting list available for Truth Social, and you can sign up for it if you’d like to join the upcoming platform. Users on the waiting list are expected to be the first to be given a chance to use Trump’s social media platform.

To join the Truth Social Waiting List, you need to follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website using a browser.
2. Enter your first and last name in the available columns.
3. Next, enter your email address where you will receive an invite.
4. Check the box that states that you agree to the “Terms and Conditions”.
5. Finally, click on “Sign Up”.

What is the release date of the Truth Social App?

The Truth Social app is currently in its beta testing phase as the first beta was released back in November 2021. App Store details suggested that it was to be released on February 21, 2022. However, the launch has just been delayed.

Previous reports also suggest that the app will launch in the first quarter of the year. We expect Truth Social to have a global release date of late March.

Is Truth Social free to use?

Users can join the Truth Social Waitlist for free, and the upcoming social media platform will be considered free to use. However, the Daily Dot reports that it may cost you money if you want to reserve a certain username.

The same news outlet also reports that you may need to donate to the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) in order to reserve the desired username. They haven’t disclosed the donation amount yet, it could be $1 or more for normal users.

However, there are also rumours that the app may initially cost as high as $4.99/week. However, no concrete evidence is available in support of the statement.
